The Bialetti Moka Express is the classic Italian stovetop coffee maker. Its octagonal aluminium body spreads heat evenly, giving you a rich, full-bodied, espresso-style coffee at home with no machine needed.
How to use it
Fill with water, add ground coffee, and place on the hob. From start to first cup takes about 7 minutes, brewing included.
Choosing a size
Cup sizes are based on the traditional 60ml (2oz) Italian espresso cup, so they're smaller than you'd expect.
- 3-4 cup: one standard mug
- 6 cup: two standard mugs
Making a latte
Moka coffee is a strong base for milk drinks. No steam wand needed: heat milk in the microwave, froth it with a cafetiere plunger, and pour over.
Hob compatibility
Works on gas and electric hobs. This aluminium model will not work on induction. For induction, you need a Bialetti induction model or an adapter plate.
Best grind
Use freshly ground beans, slightly coarser than espresso and finer than cafetiere.
Built to last
Replace the gasket and filter every 12 months and your Moka Express will keep going for years. Spare parts are available.
Delivery
This item ships directly from our supplier, not from the roastery. If you order it with coffee, it will arrive in a separate parcel and may arrive on a different day.
